“For I know the thoughts that I think towards you, saith the Lord, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end” (Jer 29 :11)

Welcome to the first day in the new year. Isn’t God Good? A New Year presents new opportunities to re-think, re-evaluate, reinforce, re-group and take a new shot out out of life.

As you start this year, make up your mind to start, hand in hand, with God. Even if last year did not quite go as planned, choose to submit to His will this year. He knows what He’s doing. Do you believe it? Can you let go and let Him take care of all that concerns you? Read Jer 29:11 over and over again this week, memorize it, say it over and over, till your spiritman is fully convinced of this truth beyond any shadow of doubt.

Prayer: Lord, we’ve never been this way before. We believe you know the end from the beginning. We choose to trust you’ve got it all under control and we look forward to your very best for our lives this year. Amen.

Couple’s Dessert Activity:
Spend some time together to assess the journey of your marriage, re-define your marriage goals, outline new action plans to strengthen your “connection by purpose” this year . Keep a journal or diary to help you assess the output at least every quarter.

Yours truly,
