“And when the servant of God arose early and went out, there was an army surrounding the city, and he said, Alas, my master. What shall we do?. And he answered, Fear not: for they that be with us are more than they that be with them. And Elisha prayed, and said, Lord, I pray thee, open his eyes, that he may see. And the Lord opened the eyes of the young man; and he saw: and, behold, the mountain was full of horses and chariots of fire round about Elisha” (2 kings 6: 15-17)
Isn’t it amazing that many times our eyes are wide open and yet we seem to miss out on things going on around us? For example, I’ve driven to work several times and all I remember was getting into the car from home and parking at the office while everything that happened in between seems blurry.
Elisha’s servant saw the large army surrounding them and panicked. Elijah saw the large army but also saw a greater army no one else could see.
Since you woke up this morning, what do you see? A beautiful day that the Lord has made or just another day? A new opportunity to be a blessing or business as usual? Another chance to take God at His word or time to give up? The threats or His promises? The war or His victory?
Child of God, what do you see?
Meditation: They that are with us are more than they that be with them…..Open the eyes of my heart, Lord, THAT I MAY SEE YOU, beyond the veil. Amen.
Have a great day.
