“For everyone who partakes only of milk is unskilled in the word of righteousness, for he is a babe; but solid food belongs to those who are of full age i.e. those who have their senses exercised to discern both good and evil” (vs.13-14)
As I held my new baby in my arms this morning, I observed he had added a little more weight and grown longer in just a few weeks. The truth is, no matter how cute and fresh a new baby looks, the baby has to go through normal developmental stages to be deemed healthy. The baby must move from milk to solids, crawl then walk, grow the first set of teeth, etc..
Are you growing and developing as God expects? Is your life changing positively? Are you letting go of old habits and embracing new ones? Is your relationship with people growing deeper in love?
Just like a baby’s system cannot fight growth or else becomes stunted/ abnormal so should our spirits embrace growth as we journey through life.
May we continue to grow in the grace and knowledge of God, to understand more His plans for our lives and pass the Growth Test. Amen.
